Outreach Ministry in Armenia
Dear Parishioners and Friends,
During our recent trip to Armenia, we visited the music school in Dilijan and had the pleasure of meeting extraordinary young musicians at the school. They prepared an amazing performance for us which brought tears to our eyes. You may watch two pieces from their performance below. Their talent and passion for music were truly inspiring.
The music school was renovated and rejuvenated by FAR (Fund For Armenian Relief) in 2020. FAR is our Diocesan charity organization in Armenia. They not only renovated the school but brought new life to the school by obtaining new and modern musical instruments for them.
The music school in the only one in the area and serves around 19 settlements in the region.
Two students among them, Astghik Tamrazyan & Lilit Ovsepyan dream of continuing their education at a musical conservatory in Yerevan, but unfortunately, they cannot afford the annual tuition fees.
Each student’s annual tuition is $2,000, and the total for both students is $4,000 to cover the costs of one year tuition.
Our Saviour Armenian Church made a commitment as a church and a community to sponsor these gifted individuals and help them achieve their dreams. We committed to raise the necessary funds and support them with their tuition.
This is part of our Outreach Ministry in Armenia and we are partnering with FAR on this project.
By supporting these young and talented students we also contribute to the future of our homeland and our people in Armenia.
