NEW! Sunday School Format
2025-2026
Dear Parents, Parishioners & Friends
We hope this letter finds you and your family well and enjoying a restful summer. As we prepare for the start of the 2025–2026 Sunday School year, we are excited to share with you a new model that we will begin implementing in September. This new format is designed to bring deeper meaning, more variety, and enhanced connection to our children’s Sunday School experience—while also strengthening our ties to each other as a church family and embracing our Armenian faith and heritage.
Our Monthly Format – Each month we will now follow a four-week rotating structure:
Week 1: Family Worship
Families will join together for a special worship service. This is a time for children and parents to pray, learn, and grow in faith together within the sanctuary, fostering a greater connection to our liturgy and each other.
Week 2: Traditional Religious Education
Students will explore the teachings of the Bible through stories, discussions, and firsthand learning that helps bring scripture to life in age-appropriate ways.
Week 3: Armenian LanguageOur focus will be on creating a foundation on the Armenian language—through speaking, reading, and writing simple words and phrases. This will nurture a stronger cultural identity in our children while honoring our native language.
Week 4: Fun & Cultural Events
Our final week will celebrate Armenian culture with games, cooking, music, dancing, and activities related to Armenian traditions and heritage. This week is all about learning through joyful, immersive experiences.
We Need You, Our Parents! For this new model to be successful and meaningful, we are asking you for your involvement on a weekly basis. Whether it’s helping lead an activity, supervising a group, sharing a cultural skill (like cooking or dancing), or simply being there, your participation will enrich the experience for all our children—and deepen our sense of community.
We believe that together—with your support—we will create a vibrant, nurturing, and inspiring environment for our children to grow in faith, language, and heritage. More detailed information, including a calendar and volunteer sign-up opportunities, will be shared with your family in the coming weeks. If you have ideas or talents you’d like to contribute, we’d love to hear from you!
Thank you for your ongoing support and commitment to the spiritual and cultural education of our children.
With warm regards and blessings,
