This year marks a truly special milestone in the life of our community as we celebrate the 135th Anniversary of the Consecration of our Church.

For 135 years, the Armenian Church of Our Saviour—the First Armenian Church in America—has faithfully served as a beacon of faith, hope, and light, spreading Christ’s message throughout our Diocese and beyond.

DID YOU KNOW?

To celebrate the 135th Anniversary of our Church and learn more together about the founding of the first Armenian church in America, we are launching a new campaign called “Did You Know?” Every other week, we will share interesting facts about the foundation and history of our church.

135th ANNIVERSARY
COMMEMORATIVE COOKBOOK

Dear Community Members,

As we joyfully celebrate the 135th anniversary of our church, we are delighted to announce the creation of the first Armenian Saviour Community Cookbook. This special collection will showcase the cherished recipes, stories, and traditions that make our community so unique.

We warmly invite you to contribute a favorite personal or family recipe to be considered for inclusion. Recipes may be submitted either as a printed copy (on 8.5″ x 11″ paper) or by email. Please ensure that each submission includes clear instructions and exact measurements.

If your recipe holds special meaning—perhaps passed down through generations—we encourage you to include a brief story describing its significance. This could be a memory of when the dish was prepared, who it came from, or why it remains meaningful to you and your family.

To allow broad participation, each individual may submit up to four recipes. Please note that due to potential overlap in submissions, not all recipes can be guaranteed inclusion in the final cookbook.

The deadline for submissions is May 15. Entries received after this date will not be reviewed. Be sure to include your name, phone number, and email address so we may contact you if needed.
